IS THE ENGLISH LANGUAGE OVER HYPED ?

Recently after the removal Michael Nobbs, Roelant Oltamans  the INDIAN HOCKEY teams director suggested English language classes for the hockey players so that they can easily communicate with the foreign coaches.
Shouldn't it be the other way round?
The foreign coaches come here to coach the INDIAN team so isn't it obvious that they should learn the Indian languages or rather at the international level it seems too naive to speak in Hindi or any other Indian language.
Even in the IPL I feel that the commentary should be strictly in Hindi or any other Regional language.I'm not saying that the players shouldn't learn any foreign language. It's always good to know some other languages. But why should a player worry about the language he speaks. It may restrict some players from playing freely.
So Mr.Roelant Oltamans you and your foreign coaches should earn Hindi rather than our players learning English.
